Dell anyone?

Posted by The Patri0t 16 August, 2006 | (4) Comment

You must have my recent entry about Laptops HERE. If you own any of the following Dell Laptop model:

Latitude: D410, D500, D505, D510, D520, D600, D610, D620, D800, D810
Inspiron: 500M, 510M, 600M, 700M, 710M, 6000, 6400, 8500, 8600, 9100, 9200, 9300, 9400, E1505, E1705
Precision: M20, M60, M70, M90
XPS: XPS, XPS Gen2, XPS M170, XPS M1710

And the laptop was shipped to you between “April 1, 2004 and July 18, 2006″ then you better hurry up and check Dell Battery Program Official Website and see the instructions. Well do check it in anycase, you might be having the defective battery shipped seperately to you. Chances might be your battery is effected. Just follow the site’s instructions and I am sure it would go smoothly. According to NEWS:

Dell and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission plan to recall 4.1 million notebook batteries on Tuesday, a company representative confirmed Monday.

Dell has faced several issues this year related to exploding or flaming notebooks, and wants to ensure the safety of its customers, the representative said. The 4.1 million units is a subset of the 22 million units shipped during that time frame, he said. Dell said it doesn’t expect the cost of the recall to materially affect its earnings. The company reports earnings for the previous quarter this Thursday.

At the moment, this looks like the largest battery recall in the history of the electronics industry, said Roger Kay, an analyst with Endpoint Technologies Associates. “The scale of it is phenomenal.”

It surely seems the largest ever. They better do it, lol, else people will start suing them badly. Some only need a slight go ahead for suing big companies. So if you own a Dell Laptop just go to the Dell Battery Program Official Website and check things around. Well, if I were you, I would visit it anyways, even if I had no laptop mentioned in the list above. You never know! LOL. The people who bought laptop not more recently, I mean to say like in 2004 and 2005. They are the lucky ones. How? Batteries usually get lower with passage of time and use. So they can get a brand new battery now for free. LOL.

So if you got Dell, do check out and pray for me if you get the replacement :p.

59th Independence Day

Posted by The Patri0t 14 August, 2006 | (5) Comment

Happy Independence Day! 59 years passed but alot to think about. I am really not in a mood to write any political thing today, so I will just wrap up this one. I was going to write “Discrimination – Part 2″ but decided not to write it since it takes alot of my time and I don’t get the feedback about such boring topics either. I wish our Government had celebrated this Independence Day very simply to show solidarity with the brothers and sisters of Lebanon. They suffered alot. We should have instead of spending money on Independence Day, sent with the same money aid to Lebanon. They do need it very much.

A poem for Lebanon

Posted by The Patri0t 9 August, 2006 | (11) Comment

Dr. Shahid Masood on behalf of ARY One World was the first journalist to travel to Lebanon and report what was happening there. Followed by Hamir Mir of GEO News. I was watching one of his program few days ago on GEO News, which he sent from Lebanon. He said a very beautiful poem of Faiz Ahmed Faiz from 1982, when he had written it about the War that time. It surely fits in for now too.

I recommend downloading the audio file. The quality might not be too good as I recorded it from TV with my Sony Ericsson W800i, but one can hear it easily.

Urdu
Faiz Ahmed Faiz's 1982 Poem

Roman Urdu
Mere dil mere musafir
Huwa phir se hukm saadir
Keh watan badar hon ham tum
Dain gali gali sadaaen
Karain rukh nagar nagar ka
Keh surgaagh koi paaen
Siyyar-e-naama bar ka
Har ek ajnabi se poochain
Jo pata tha apne ghar ka
Sare kooe na-a-shnaaeyaan
Hamain din se raat karna
Kabhi es se baat karna
Kabhi us se baat karna
Kahoon kis se main ke kia hai
Shab-e-gham buri balaa hai
Hamain yeh bhi tha ghaneemat
Jo koi shumaar hota
Hamain kia bura tha marna
Agar ek baar hota

Hats down for all the Media personnel in Lebanon, the one’s who are sending back the true images.

How do you say welcome in urdu
Zuljenah, that’s for you to comment on. Whoever searched this one, “Welcome” in Urdu is “Khushamdeed” or “خوش آمدید” and in Pashto it should become “Pakhair Raghle” or “پخیر راغلے “.

how to put banner in blogspot

help with compaq presario 2500 over heat
Laptop Cooling! You dropped by at right place man! 2500 is quite old, change it if you can, or if you are like me and have to use it. . . Then get Notepal by Cooler Master for your laptop. It should help, helped me alot atleast. It’s sort of Aluminum stand with two fans fit on it, the fans don’t do much of the job, Aluminum does the magic. Excessive heat spreads across the Aluminum and dissipates while your lappy remains cool than usual. If you can pay a little extra, get this laptop cooler instead Titan G3T Notebook Cooler

pakistan cooking yogurt
I don’t think you can COOK yogurt but yeah you can prepare yogurt. Google “Prepare yogurt”.

That’s all for now.

Discrimination – Part 1

Posted by The Patri0t 6 August, 2006 | (2) Comment

It can be seen almost everywhere in this world, in family, friends, other humans, even for CITIES & Countries! Most of the examples I have got revolve around Pak-India relationship. To all those from India, I ain’t a HATER, I just want to tell the truth. Let’s take a look at few examples. . .

Britain ruled the sub continent till 1947. The sub continent was divided as India and Pakistan. They left a few stones unturned, Kashmir one of them. Pakistan claimed it by saying majority of the people living there are Muslims and that they were forced by the Maharaja to be with India, so it should be part of Pakistan. India claimed it by saying Maharaja of Kashmir decided to be with India, then again allegations that the Maharaja was put under pressure by the Indian Government. India’s point of view here should be accepted then because Britain had allowed the princely states to decide for themselves. But here comes the discrimination.

The State of Hyderabad was a princely state too, under a Muslim Nizam and majority of it’s population was Hindu. He refused to be part of India. Indian Army was ordered to attack and take The State of Hyderabad. It was proclaimed as part of India after the Nizam’s forces were defeated by the Indian Army. Let’s see now. Kashmir having majority of Muslims under a Hindu Maharaja and Hyderabad having majority of Hindus under a Muslim Ruler. Indian Government respects decision of the Hindu Maharaja where majority of his public is Muslim BUT Indian Government refuses decision of the Muslim Ruler where majority of his public is Hindu. Why this discrimination? It takes one part by claiming it’s abiding by the rule that princely states have the right to decide and that religion should not decide such a thing but then you are not respecting another state’s decision on the ‘majority & religion’ basis? When ‘majority & religion’ goes against your interest, you honour decision of the Maharaja but when it goes in your favor, you go with it.

Israel has never claimed it having nuclear weapons but it is said that Israel does have nukes, even some reports say more than every other country who own nukes. USA, France & Norway helped them with all this, which means all these countries have violated NPT but neither Israel or USA, Norway or France were condemned in the UN or the IAEA started investigations like they used to do for Pakistan, Iraq, North Korea and now Iran. It is also said that Isreal has been helping India more recently but no inquiries, no nothing. Discrimination again. . .

India tested it’s first nuclear device back in 1974. The plutonium used in this device came from their reactor CIRUS (Canada-India Reactor, U.S.) which back in those days was aquired by India for ‘Research’ and ‘Peaceful’ purpose only. Canada supplied the reactor and US heavy water. India ‘dual used’ the technology, lied to the world that it is doing a research and using the reactor for peaceful purpose only while behind the veils it produced weapon grade plutonium using this same reactor. Iran is being accused of ‘dual using’ the same technology too. They say Iran lies to the world that they need nuclear technology for electricity but they are actually trying to make nukes with it. They say Iran does not need nuclear reactor for it’s power generation because they got enough oil and that it will cost Iran more. It is for a country it self to decide for themselves what they want and what they not want. Not for some bully taking decisions on everyone’s behalf. Iran might face sanctions very soon from the UN. Not able to see the discrimination? Here we go. . .

Americans and French are on one hand imposing sanctions on Iran for they are going to ‘dual use’ the technology on the other hand, India which ‘dual used’ the same in past, their sanctions are not longer relevant and their test called, ‘peaceful’. India is not part of NPT, Iran is but it is still invited to join the group of respectable ‘nuke’ nations with India’s head high up and Iran’s on verge of being smashed. India has 24 reactors, 14 have been called as civilian and these will be open for inspection by IAEA. In return the US and France will provide them with nuclear power generation plants and the fuel required enabling them to fulfill the energy needs. The other 10 reactors have been called as military and will not be open for IAEA’s inspection. India can now produce unlimited fuel for power generation or weapons, which will enable them to have much more nuclear war heads per year than today. One getting the garden, another about to get a hell & all of a sudden they forget about ‘Arms race’ in the region. Why?

Oh & how can we forget Pakistan. Major cities of Pakistan faced power outages for hours this summer. Pakistan lacks sufficient electricity. Hydropower dams are never good for environment, they are dangerous too. Why not use the nuclear capability we have for power? Ok. Let’s ask Mr. Bush. Can we. . . Cuts in the middle, hyell NO! Ok, fine. China’s gonna help us with Khushab reactor, we will get 1K Megawatt power then but wait, they are known for discrimination. How can they see it happen? They say Pakistan can make 50 nukes per year then. They forgot what they gave to India. The same numbers! The General was bad for democracy then all of a sudden perfect for the U.S. when he abided Bush after 9/11 but now he’s danger for democracy. The state being called as terrorist and nukes with ‘terrorists’ are dangerous. So let’s vanish all the nukes and army while others enjoy the discrimination.
