The Patri0t’s Palace

I was facing this problem ever since upgrading to Wordpress 2.1, I did not have time to bother about it but now I had so I looked into it. I searched the Internet but found nothing, posted on Wordpress Help Forums and I was told it’s this way now and that the theme needs update? I don’t know. I checked latest version of the theme I use too but it had same code I think. It would not bother me at all if links would appear after clicking on one of the Links category, what it used to give was 404 Error.

I am no PHP guru, I tried to solve the problem my self. I chose one of the default theme with comes bundled with latest version of Wordpress and replaced the code which calls the Categories from default theme to the theme I am using and guess what, it worked. I don’t see the Link categories under Post categories anymore.

Upgraded to the latest version 2.0.6 today.

We have a pretty important release available for everyone, it includes an important security fix and it’s recommended that everyone upgrade. This is the latest release in our stable 2.0 line, which we’ve committed to maintaining for several more years.

A very Happy New Year; 2007 and a belated Eid Mubarak to all visitors of The Patri0t’s Palace. Thanks to everyone who supported the website.

A few stats for 2006:-

• Around 10,000 Unique visitors since I changed from Blogspot to Wordpress and own domain name, thepatri0t.net, this July. More than half, yes! 5000+ Unique visits in December 2006 alone . . . [I should thanks Asus for this one, if P5B Deluxe had not buggy drivers, that would not happen ]
• 31,000 views were generated.
• 94 posts were posted.
• 380 comments were posted.
• 293 votes were casted.
• Got 10$ [HEHE!!!] off Google Ad-Sense, keep clicking the Ads people and I would have 20$ till end of 2007 .

Regular visitors must have already noticed the difference. New theme in place, it has been AJAXIFIED for comments which means page will not refresh when you comment but something else will happen. Just give it a try. Too tired to write any thing else right now. Have been working on changing the Theme and then customizing it completely to the way I wanted was too time consuming for me since my knowledge with PHP is just n00bish. I still have to finalize few changes to my site including a better Header.

Will also update the problems of P5B Deluxe, gonna start downloads section very soon too insha’Allah. Just pray I don’t get lazy. Also started Links exchange, thanks to brother Mohsin, who offered it and also for Patri0t’s Palace appreciation. A big thumbs up to “ilemoned” as well, for creating this beautiful and amazing Wordpress theme. I don’t know what I would end up with if I had not found this one and I have seen many amazing themes which people use for their Wordpress but they are only INTERNAL sometimes like the theme they currently use, they never publish it to public.

*sigh* No time again! Anyways, I sent a money order and have registered a domain name for my self which is http://www.thepatri0t.net/ It’s not with “O” but “ZERO” (0). I will be setting up every thing there, including a nice blog…

Change of plans for it as well. I am not gonna host it with 5GIGS. Reason is I am getting even a better host than 5GIGS. It’s all for free and what am I given? You don’t want to hear that cause it’s just cool and perhaps if you want to get a paid service like it, you would have to pay lots and lots of money in Pakistan & the Pakistani Hosting Companies can only dream about giving such packages for free
