How to turn off Google Buzz
Update: Seeing the strong reaction by its users, Google has made it more privacy friendly now, when you click Turn Off Google Buzz in the footer or Google Options, you will be given choice of taking all your public profile listings off line as well and then disable it.
Thanks for being so generous Google as to enable Buzz on my Gmail account without asking me first and thanks for the great feature :sarcasm: “Automatically follow the people you email and chat with the most in Gmail.” which will sound better if it reads “Automatic invasion of privacy”. I thought Facebook was pretty bad privacy wise but Google Buzz has topped it, as soon as I clicked Buzz in my Inbox today, to see whats it about, I find out I am already ‘registered’ for it and not only that, I am following people and I am being followed and there was no sort of notification about this, no kind of permission needed… it just did. So I’m bidding farewell to Google Buzz, I don’t need it. Here’s how I turned off Google Buzz.
Step-1: Don’t just scroll down to your Inbox and click “Turn off Buzz” because if you have made your profile, updated your status and buzzed around, those will not vanish but remain public to your followers. So the first thing you should do is delete all the buzzes and status updates you made. Luckily, I did not make my profile.
Step-2: When you click Buzz, you will see your Profile image and text box for buzzing i.e. sharing, above that you should see a link to your followers, click that and unfollow everyone then block.
Step-3: Now you are safe, scroll down in Gmail and click “turn off Buzz”.
Adding music, movies, pictures to iPhone and iPod Touch without iTunes
Apple has tightly integrated its devices like iPod, iPhone and iPod Touch with iTunes which is without a doubt big reason for their immense popularity because of the iTunes store and various options that the software gives to its users but I would like to add media to my iPod without the use of iTunes itself sometimes. It’s easy to do on some of other Phones and MP3 Players, they pop up as a USB drive in one’s computer and the media can be simply dragged to its desired folders but this is not possible with Apple iPod, iPhone and iPod touch.
But there seems to be a free software that will let you manage the Apple device, be it iPod, iPod Touch or iPhone directly, called the iPhone explorer. This has many uses, for one if I want to copy the media to another computer, it’s not possible with iTunes. One cannot connect iPod, iPod Touch and iPhone to just any other computer with iTunes either but iPhone explorer it seems has solved all the problems.
With the iPhone Explorer can you look into the file system of your iPhone and down- and upload files by USB connection, regardless of whether file format. Within this function can use your iPhone as “USB-Stick”. The program supports also a direct access to the photos directory of the iPhone. Herewith can you photos easily and simple copy to the computer. The same function is also available for videos, music (from iPod) and ringtones. The highlight of the iPhone Explorer yet is the creating of own ringtones with the ringtone editor from MP3, WAV, AIFF and M4A audio file formats.To this can you copy audio titles from iPhone music archive or from local computer. However the song length is not limited to 32 seconds as iTunes.

“Fatal error: Class ‘scbWidget’ not found” Solution
New version of the popular WordPress Plugin WP-UserOnline version 2.60 has arrived but with a problem. A small piece of code is missing for some reason and it gives the following error when its being enabled.
Fatal error: Class ‘scbWidget’ not found in /wp-content/plugins/wp-useronline/wp-useronline.php on line 515
The solution for it is very simple; if you have upgraded to version 2.60 and are getting the fatal error then login to your FTP and edit wp-useronline.php file, the fault lies in very first line so it’s very easy to find. It currently looks like,

All you have to do is add include ‘scb/Widget.php’; under the very first line so it looks like this.

(Remove the space between < and ? php
and you are done, just activate the plugin. For those of you who are either lazy ;) or do not understand what I am talking about. Here's updated version of the Plugin with the fix applied to it. Just download it, login to your WordPress and add it via upload.

Tab Mix Plus for Firefox 3.6

The above introduction will not be necessary for those of you already familiar with Tab Mix Plus, since you are like me looking for a version fully compatible with most recent release of Mozilla Firefox 3.6, well there is a version available which works for me without any problem in Firefox 3.6, hoping the same for you.
Click the following; it will open a new Firefox tab along with a warning whether to Allow installation from the said source or not, click Allow and a new Firefox dialogue will show up, just click Install there when it appears, restart Firefox and you are good to go. I am not hosting this version, it is directly from developer of Tab Mix Plus; “oneman”.
