Intel Core 2 Duo processors have shaken the Computer world, at least AMD’s if not anyone else’s. Intel is scheduled to release new processors in coming months of 2007 which will add into the current Core 2 Duo processors line up. The newest to arrive is E4300, same as E6300 but with a slightly lower clockspeed, lower FSB and a 6-9 multiplier. I am amazed at the fact that the said processor is scheduled for shipping on 21st of January BUT it has appeared in Pakistan prior to that!!! Yes, E4300 is released here.
It has appeared in the price lists of “POP - Pakistan Office Products”, one of the official distributors of Intel in Pakistan. The price list is dated 5th of January. I have confirmed it from POP, it is available with them. I tried to confirm the said launch from “Intel Corporation Pakistan” and “Intel APAC Sales Center” but no response from them yet. They don’t give a damn about it I guess. The prices are listed as, ofcourse excluding the DAMN Government Sales Tax:
- CPU CORE 2 DUO E4300 1.80GHZ 2MB 800MHZ = Rs. 11,200
- CPU CORE 2 DUO E6300 1.86GHZ 2MB 1066MHZ = Rs. 12,600
- CPU CORE 2 DUO E6400 2.13GHZ 2MB 1066MHZ = Rs. 14,900
- CPU CORE 2 DUO E6600 2.40GHZ 4MB 1066MHZ = Rs. 20,900
- CPU CORE 2 DUO E6700 2.66GHZ 4MB 1066MHZ = Rs. 35,000
So I guess time to say Yeppy and Hurray now! It’s sad though, I did inquire Intel about the said launch, why prior to 21st January in Pakistan but no luck.

Atif, you know it is Pakistan and no Company keeps their site up2date here except a very very few. They send their price list after prices are changed, every few months via e-mail to the dealers who buy from them…and well, you can say I get it through a DEALER friend ;). Just call 111-POP-POP and inquire.
E4300 is lacking Intel Virtualization technology, if anyone cares
Also 3GHz Overclock with some lame-ass RAM is quite good for E4300. Sort of a budget overclock chip
These arn’t the exact prices of Core2 processors i guess cause i bought e6600 in the same price mentioned a month b4.

Kashif, I have bought Core 2 DUO E6600 last month here in Hyderabad, PK, the processor costed me Rs.21800 alone.
It must be available in ISL too.

@Saad: POP is still dealing in same prices with their dealers and customers. Just call them and ask the price. The prices provided above are without the 15% Tax though.
