59th Independence Day

Posted by The Patri0t 14 August, 2006 |

Happy Independence Day! 59 years passed but alot to think about. I am really not in a mood to write any political thing today, so I will just wrap up this one. I was going to write “Discrimination – Part 2″ but decided not to write it since it takes alot of my time and I don’t get the feedback about such boring topics either. I wish our Government had celebrated this Independence Day very simply to show solidarity with the brothers and sisters of Lebanon. They suffered alot. We should have instead of spending money on Independence Day, sent with the same money aid to Lebanon. They do need it very much.

The war there has stopped now after the UN proposed cease fire. I hope it remains so forever now and the Israelis leave Lebanese land. I saw Israeli Army celebrating and saying they have won this war but oh well…You killed more civilians than Hezbullah Fighters! I was seeing some statistics, civilians get killed in almost every war these days. Israel has faced almost equal army personnel loses in this war. 100+ Israeli Army and same number for Hezbullah Fighters. Israel perhaps wanted to punish the Lebanese people for supporting Hezbullah. Hamid Mir, interviewed few days ago a Doctor in Beirut’s hospital. He asked every patient if there was any Hezbullah presence around them and all of them denied that. The Doctor further said they have not received any Hezbullah people, not even injured since this war started.

What do you think now? Should Hezbullah get rid of their weapons and become only a political party? How long will this cease fire last? How long will it take for the Lebanese Government to get things normal again? I mean they are just devastated. One thing though, I was happy to hear comments from the UN Secretary General that he is very disappointed this decision came after such a long time. He ofcourse blamed the super powers and both parties in war. I would blame Israel for this not Hezbullah. Hezbullah Fighters are truely amazing. They made the Israeli Army suffer badly, Arab countries lost to Israel in a matter of days but look at Hezbullah, indeed “Party of Allah”!

Jashan-e-Azadi tum ko bhi mubarak ho….

Ceasefire after total annihilation of South Lebanon is very comforting indeed *sighs*

Who amongst the muslim ummah will step forward to help the rebuilding process..

Like Martin Luther King said
“We will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends”.

Jashan-e-Azaadi Mubarak Ho.

Yes, it would have been great to see a Muslim nation; Pakistan, help out it’s Muslim brothers and sisters, who are in dire need at the moment, or remember them specifcly on our day of Independance. I haven’t seen anything of that nature yet on TV other than concert shows and other tv programs.

Lebanon has been destroyed, but on a military level, I would say Hizbullah is the victorious, Israel failed to disarm Hizbullah infact, it wasn’t even sucessful in budging them back, and had over a month to do so, and this was the strongest army in the Middle East.

The world is not going to see peace any time soon for the time being, and this is a fact; which also does not mean we sit back and just watch the show.

Yes, we did not see any thing such happening on TV. I wish they had done it like that instead of spending money on dancing and meaningless songs. They were airing this program Live from Housten on 12th August and I was like Yukkk! It was disgusting man.

Hezbullah ofcourse is victorious. It just tells us how strong they are, I am talking about their spiritual side here. They indeed are amazing people masha’Allah. No peace for the time being? I don’t get you man.

Farsh and Ali Imran. Thanks very much for commenting here :).
