A tiny bit of ME
I don’t know what to name this one, so I will just name it to what I saw on my friends Blog. Ali Imran and Zuljenah’s. So here I go.
* Alone, or with people?
Alone mostly but if I am in company of people whom I get along with, then it’s fun too. When not studying, I am either in front of my laptop or out or watching tv or talking to mom.
* Summer, or winter?
Summer ofcourse, though I love to get in a warm bed which is the case in winters. I hate it when I get flue and all that, so no to winter. Love summer, esp. the part when rain start, I don’t know what that is called. Must be a particular word for it. I hate one thing about summer though, lol, can’t tell here.
* Black, or white?
White for clothes black for others.
* Observe, or get along from the very first moment
Observe, I will be in function and doing nothing else than standing in a corner or sitting somewhere. I don’t go ahead with ‘TALKING’ first.
* Clown, or Drama (Queen/King)?
Clown…I am not sure about this question though, lol, so please explain it to me. I will update it accordingly if necessary. Ali Imran is online so I’ll ask him. Ok, asked. I leave this to my friends. They will fill it in. I think mix of both.
* A Hummer, or A BMW convertible car
I would love to own a BMW one day. If I ever bought it, I might feel bad though, for it does cost a fortune.
* Loyal or………
Loyal, very. Loyal to everyone. Expect the same from some but never from few others.
* Favorite Material Posession….
My Laptop *wub* (If U kno the inside story, U’ll know Y :p)
* When I look at someone, the first thing I see is….
Face ofcourse, I don’t usually look at the person from distance. As in if I know I am going to meet THAT person, I am coming from a lil distance, I don’t look much at that person while I reach him. Look at the person when I am near. I think I feel the person when we have the eye contact. Never make eye contact with ‘STUPIDs’, can’t explain what that mean.
Incase of *HIJABIS* around, lool, don’t ask! Eye contact only once in the start, after that, almost impossible for an eye contact. I just look at something while talking.
* My life is….
I think I have no right to complain about my life. Alhamdolillah, Alhamdollilah, Allah has blessed me so much. . . But there are alot of things I would have loved to change in my life if I could somehow. Allah knows the best indeed, perhaps me getting all messed up in life, like now, is meant to lead me somewhere good and better?
I would tag all those who’s Blogz are in my list, some of them have already put up this. Others should if they feel like it. No forcing =P, and ofcourse just consider yourself TAGGED if you feel like commenting about your self in above manner.

Uff you like Summer, that too PAKISTANI summer?! I was dying there!! The phankas are so thakay huwai yaar, and my poor family can only afford one air conditioner, which is 7 years old.
Yeah Yeah I know. LOL. 7 years old AC will cost more BIJLI than a most recent one :p. I don’t like ’sweating’ part much but oh well you have to deal with it and mom’s always more than happy to see me IN home and not OUT.
Gained weight, lol, when someone asks about it, I say mom loves to see me fat so don’t talk about it to me. Go ask her. Hehe.
You are the first person I’ve seen choose “white” lol… By the way, both you and Ali Imran are copycats!! lol jk :P It’s ok. I’m honoured you guys chose the same title as me lol, although none of the people who tagged me had that title, I made it up! :D
Salaam Aleikum!
I’m finally getting around to reading your blog!
Hooray! :)
Very interesting survey yaar… When I get around to writing another entry in my glitchified blogspot, I’ll write my answers for this too insh’Allah. By the way, I still don’t know what happened with regards to the comment glitch. :(
Anyway, I think I can relate to most of your answers ^^! :)
Does it rain a lot in the summertime where you live?
I went to Karachi one summer and didn’t see a single drop of rain for like two months, but I visited Islamabad for like a week and it rained practically everyday. That was amazing. :)
Well anyhow, take care.
Khuda Hafiz
I live in Islamabad/Rawalpindi, it rains, but not the way you mentioned it ‘everyday’. Islamabar is a mountainous area, so ya it does get colder there, and does rain there more than other areas in Pakistan.
@ Sarah: Am I the first person in this world to choose ‘WHITE’. How do you know that? :p I prefer wearing white than black.
@ Rubab: WS. Hmm, good that you are finally getting around my Blog. Was it not ‘EASY’ getting around my Blog before? lol, no problem. I will comment again and you will know if the glitch is still there or not. Just be careful with the options and don’t play with them around much.
It does not rain in ‘REAL SUMMER’ as in we don’t get much rains in hot weather. We see alot of rain around this time of the year, actually all around Pakistan, like Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore and even Karachi. The roads get flooded in major cities, esp. Islamabad/Rawalpindi and Karachi. There’s this ‘NAALA’, a little canal say it is, runs through Rawalpindi/Islamabad, it floods around this time of the year and all the roads get flooded even houses and shops. Filthy politicians never go and fix this problem. Rains alot around this time, but you won’t know it rained after a day or two, I mean it gets hot again.
@ Ali Imran: When did you live in Islamabad? It does rain there due to it’s location.
Salaams
^^ I’m really sorry bro, for taking so long!
I’m just overall easily-distracted and I procrastinate too much and take forever to do basic things when I’ve got too much on my mind… As you know, that’s also what prevents me from never getting enough sleep. :(
Well… I’d really appreciate a re-comment, thanks. :) I think after posting my first entry I republished my blog like five times for the heck of it and then messed with every option excessively just to see the effects, but I’ll stop now. I’m going to try messing with the codes later on and see if I can personalize the layout a bit.
Hm… Out of the two 2-month visits I’ve made to Karachi, both times combined I’m pretty sure it must’ve rained like twice in the whole duration. Maybe I was just unlucky. It was always just burning hot and humid overall, though I wager the weather here where I live is probably just as bad if not worse.
Ahh, I’ve heard a lot here and there about those ‘filthy politicians’…
You need to clue me in if you can regarding Pakistan’s history and politics… I’ve done a bit of reading about its foundation but overall just know that it had some awfully unstable beginnings that still haunt it and hinder its success, even though the potential is high & underlying principles for the country’s basis have always been great. I feel like I should know more about my homeland, though. :) I’ve been spoonfed a bunch of biased American history pretty much my whole life, so I’m a bit lost with regards to the rest of the world. I was taught World Geography/History by a psychotically patriotic, brainwashed ex-American soldier last year whose ulterior motive was seemingly just to reinforce white supremacy. :(
@ Ali Imran:
I think I must’ve gotten lucky, cuz the rain I encountered was pretty excessive and practically daily. :) Islamabad had fabulous weather overall! I always marvel at the thought that all within one summer, Pakistan can be a combination of both killer heat waves on one side and snow on the other.
Take care…
Khuda Hafiz
Love getting drenched in rain!!!nothing like that n specially on mountains…thats like heaven for me!
Delhi’s winter n summer are extreme according to our standards..winter is somehow depressing cause its so quiet..but i like the fog part of winters…scary n adventurous!
summer becomes too sultry..
White=serene n so r u i think.
LoL Patriot what do you mean where “did” I live in Islamabad :P Abhi bhi wahan rehta hun, mera ghar hai wahan, kyun mujhay apnay watan sai juda kerna chahtai ho lol.
I live in sector I-10, right on the border of Rawalpindi.
@ Rubab: No problem lol. Take your time and be c00L meanwhile. Blog layout will be easy for you to Edit around, that’s not such a big deal. Let me know if you need any help with that.
Clue you about Pak. Just go ahead and ask here or anywhere you like. I’ll respond. You can say as soon as our Quaed, Mohammad Ali Jinnah passed away, things messed up. Even his death is a little, well… it’s sort of blamed on the politicians of those days. The ambulance sent for him ‘GONE BAD’ in the middle and he passed away. How can you send a ‘BAD AMBULANCE’ for Governer General and father of Pakistan??? Oh well, he did mention having, “BAD COINS” in his pocket in his last days.
With him was Liaquat Ali Khan, he was some what good too. He was assasinated in 1951 by some guy who was claimed to be Afghan. He was shot dead on the spot and perhaps beaten up too by angry people there. If he had remained ALIVE, we would have known why he killed him. Liaquat Ali Khan did try hard for Pakistan too. Back in those days, “Patsan”, I don’t know what it is called in English, it was very abundant in Bangladesh, it still is. Pakistan used to trade it with the foreign countries, Britian too. There was something wrong with Britian, because of WWII or whatever. They asked Pak to reduce our currency rate or they won’t buy Patsan from us. Liaquat Ali Khan said, “We will throw away all the Patsan in Arabian Sea but not sell to you.” He dared say that. Look at us now. The politicians are licking Western shoes.
It’s such a shame that our politicians were not able to form a constitution for Pakistan until 1973. So you can say we were running WITHOUT our own constitution for more than 25 years after independence! This constitution was possible mostly because of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, the only politician whom I can call a ‘TRUE’ one but then he had his bad sides too. We lost Bangladesh in 1971 because we did not listen to them. It was mostly in hands of Bhutto, he could have done something about it, but no.
You can blame all those politicians who sort of INVITED Army Generals to come over and control. They did so to get rid of their political rivals. Then whoever was LOYAL to the Generals would get the Government. They should have never done that, instead took help of public but they took a shortcut.
Do you know about Fatima Jinnah? Sister of Mohammad Ali Jinnah who worked side by side with his brother. She was an inspiration for the Muslim women during the freedom struggle. She’s called, “Mother of the nation” or “Khaaton-e-Pakistan” but guess what. That filthy General Ayub Khan… She stood against him in Elections during 1965, she ‘LOST’, not because the public did not vote her, but because ‘Ayub’ played ‘TACTICS’ against her and ‘MADE her LOSE’. Her death is even believed to be assasination instead of a heart attack! She did stand up for Pakistan and it’s ppl. She asked people to come back on the path which her brother had seen for them. She wrote a book too, “My Brother”, it’s available for download and reading here, http://www.fatimajinnah.gov.pk/Books/My%20Brother_intro.htm
You can download it and see for your self. I wonder if it’s exact version of her or they have removed something.
Further more, those Generals who took over Politicians, they were corrupt. Both financially and morally. I came across a book which mentions each and every one of them. What sort of love they craved for whine and haraam towards women. General Niazi, commander of Pak Army in Bangladesh. He should not be called a man even. He used to cry like babies when he would hear about retreat of Pak Army from one city. He would ask them to come back instead of holding their current positions. Then he surrendered. He bloody surrendered with 90,000 Army! See this video : http://indianarmy.nic.in/arimage/Pak_surrender.WMV It was better of them to fight till defeated instead of such a thing. It was because of him, other Army personnel wanted to fight till the end.
@ Riju: Yeah I know, that’s why your nose makes noises after few days :p.
@ Ali Imran: Ok yaar. You live in Canada not in Islamabad :p.
Wow…
Thanks very much bro, that was a lot of interesting information. :)
I sincerely wish someone could straighten Pakistan out. Its principle basis was beautiful, but unfortunately considering all the corruption and instability you highlighted above I guess it just never got the chance to take flight.
I seriously sometimes wish, on a random, crazy whim, that I could become a Pakistani politician someday; maybe use my foreign knowledge to some sort of advantage while also benefiting from my Pakistani roots. Politics and world affairs in general are pretty interesting, albeit confusing, to me. Unfortunately as you’ve noticed, my Urdu vocabulary’s a bit lacking and I can’t read urdu script worth anything, though I’m really not as much of a pathan/gulaabi-speaker as you figured. :( Anyhow, what are some examples of things that would help Pakistan out, ideally? Like earlier you mentioned they need rain gutters or something to prevent flooding, and from what I’ve seen the roads could take a lot of repair and pollution and garbage disposal need some attention & work as well. Not to mention the education system you’ve told me so much about. :) Would employment agencies help the poor? Do they have welfare? Insurance? What are the medical facilities like?
What are some of Pakistan’s advantages; stuff it could build off of to become stronger? I see a lot of tourist potential and ultimately, if educational facilities were improved, maybe quite a few revolutionaries and geniuses that could benefit the world with their bright Paki minds… :) What are taxes there like, by the way? Do you have income taxes and all that jazz? If so, where does all the money go? Do they have organized budgets? Is the government defecit unreasonably high, and if so, what can be done to alleviate it, and how big an overall issue is money for Pakistan?
Also, what are your thoughts on Kashmir? I’ve heard a lot of money’s been wasted in the past on fighting there as opposed to where it really should have gone- into improving the weaker angles of the country.
And on another topic that really interests me, what do you think about the law enforcement/police system in Pakistan? Do you think it should be a cause of concern and is in significant need of improvement?
Well okay… I think that should be about enough for now. :) Sorry for the crazy mess of questions, I’ve got a lot I’ve always wanted to know! I’ll also do some reading of my own & tackle that book by Fatima Jinnah for sure though. Thanks again for all the info!! By the way, write to me in Urdu sometime and see how I can take it. I’m sure it’d be beneficial to my vocab if I put my skills to use more often. :)
Khuda Hafiz!
nice intervew of ur self :P
@ Rubab:
Straightening out Pakistan. . . As long as the Maliks, Vaderas and Jageerdaars are in power, it won’t happen. I have a wild thought in mind, lol, but that can be hard for some to hear. You know what happens here. A politician loots Government property, he is caught, ONLY caught if he does not belong to the leading party in Government. The General had said we have introduced new faces in last time’s elections, new faces? They were all old. Even those who had cases on them are part of the current Government now, how? They have got accountability cases on their heads so what they do is OBEY the Government in power, join them, strengthen them and there they go as complete innocents.
New faces did come in the elections, esp. women. They were given a chance more than past this time but who were new faces? Sons & Daughters of the OLD politicians. True they are young, might be brilliant and all that but their root is not pure. They came into politics because of their wealth. You cannot stand in elections unless you have got loads of money. You have to pray in Crores for getting the party ticket. I wish too to do alot. I got a hell of things in my mind but oh well. . . One thing is for sure, there are a hell lot of people out there who can never see a fair person in politics. Anyone fair coming in power will risk his life and perhaps his whole family.
You know, Doctors study in Pakistan then leave for specialization and most of them never come back. I read about a family, very good Doctor, they came back from foreign and wanted to work here forever but then they were threatened by some jerks and all so they moved to Canada. The person who wrote that article had asked them the reason and they simply say, I better stay in a non-muslim country where my daughter is secure out on the street than a muslim country and city where whenever my daughter goes out, she is looked upon by lusty eyes and is hooted on by those idiots plus they got severe threats.
Muslim countries are indeed muslim, might be very safe for children to grow on as compared to the socities in non-muslim countries but those who are meant to get spoiled, will spoil even in a country like Iran & those who are not will live in even USA without any harm. Non-muslim countries, no matter how bad they are, have got one thing in them, if you decide to live there, you get a very peaceful mind and are almost stress free. Come here & look at people. They are worried about every thing. Will I come back home safely? Will my family be safe back home if I leave? Is my daughter safe when she goes to school alone? & such thoughts. A person no matter how perfect he/she is, will never be able to concentrate properly on their job or any other thing in their life with such constant pressure and stress. You don’t get such stressing out thoughts in say UK. I know this someone who moved from Pakistan there, is a Doctor working there now. He, his wife and two kids living peacefully. He says he was not peaceful in Pakistan. He had to face so many problems even from his own parents. He does not have to worry about his family at all when he leaves home there.
Rain water and floods should be addressed. Roads? LOL. You know a road only gets repaired when a Government party politician is supposed to visit that place or the President is going to pass on that road & tell you what. They will come and repair the road, the person supposed to visit passes and the road starts to break up again within few days of his leaving! Hehe. They always repair roads like this! I don’t think Japanese or American Engineers have mastered this technique yet. . .
Education system is a mess. As our Maths teacher said, it’s made to destroy our creativity not nourish it. Give students a topic to write on and you will know how creative they are. They will never be able to write about it, if they do they will be writing it from some book, very few will be able to write on their own. I forget what is it called, RATTA, like our system is just RATTA based mostly, you cannot live in it without just remembering that thing and which becomes TEMPORARY most of the times intead of creativity. I took Computer Science 3 years ago in School, the Board exams came and I was quite sure of my self that I will hit 85+ marks out of 100 in it. I got stinky 70. My teachers were just shocked, because my class result was very good for Computer Science, I don’t know what happened, a teacher said you must have written things out on your own instead of writing what was there in the book. . . Become creative and you lose big time. Britain left this education system for us, our teacher used to laugh about it. He said they did not want us equal in education to them but they did need our help. So they designed an education system in which we can only become a clerk, they are only able to write excellent applications and requests, not orders. This is so true, there’s this certain person in our family who has barely passed 10th and can write excellent applications and frankly, if you see 3-4 of his applications, they all sound the same, no creativity, just write what they have remembered.
We have got geniuses even in such a rotting system of education but oh well. . . A lady scientist of Pakistan, she was able to produce wheat crops on barren lands and lands effected badly with water! Do you believe that? It’s just amazing. She even is said to have not married because from very young age she was researching it in Pakistan. She got old and found how to do it. Guess what happened? Government changed, her funds, equipment and helping power, all was transfered to a new facility run by a person who had a well wisher high above in Government. All of her tests gone to hell and samples thrown away. * sigh * We would be having crops every where in Pakistan now but. . . I read this few years ago, she was called upon from leading research institutes around the world. She was refusing all of them at that time. I don’t know what happened with her then. If she is alive, if she is still sitting in her home lonely and shedding tears about what happened to her.
Employment agencies. . . even they ask for rishwat and sifarish. There is no insurance for poor either. Like all Companies don’t offer it. Jobs are divided in Junior & Senior. Senior do get those benefits but never the Juniors, i.e. drivers, labours etc. Medical facilities, two types as all places. Private & Government, Private are too costly, Government ones are free but they will kill a patient instead of healing one.
Taxes. . . I’ll be writing an entry about it, so do check up. My thoughts on Kashmir, they should have never adopted the Jihadi position there, instead tried on other grounds. We are in debts of billions of dollars to countries & International Monitoring Funds and Banks. Our Government do as they are asked to do by them.
Police system too needs improvement, they took some steps which did help. Like they introduced 911 style Police force, called Rescue 15. I don’t know what their performance in other cities is, but they are excellent Alhamdolillah in our city. Took care of alot of jerks. Like this area where we live, people go out with families and walk around at night after the dinner. It’s usually was safe but then few JERKS came out of no where. They would tease women and try to steal things from them.
Rescue 15 riders caught them red handed, you know how those jerks were treated? LOL. First beaten by the Rescue 15 badly on the road, their motor bikes hit and trashed then taken to the Police station. Inspite the fact that these jerks belonged to a very prominent “VILAIN” of our city, who is a story now too because he was shot dead by police few weeks ago! It does need further improvement specially the detention centers/jails. Thousands are kept in facility which is supposed to be for hundreds only. Plus people with minor charges, who are innocents are inside the jails for years, no body listens to them. Police don’t have enough buses and funds for fuel to take them to courts in proper time.
Do you know about Hudood Ordinance in Pakistan? Did I tell you a real thing which happened because of it? There was this girl, a student, she went to her Professor’s office in the University. She went to ask about her studies and stuff, nothing bad. MULLA type students, they locked the door behind them & went to a near by mosque. Asked the Imam-e-Masjid to come and witness ZINA. The professor was beating the door and asking them to open it. There came the Imam-e-Masjid who later testified that I have seen the Professor and student doing ZINA. The Professor and the girl were arrested by police, they were innocents. The Imam-e-Masjid later testified that he had not seen ZINA taking place, when he came the door was locked and the Professor was shouting on the students and asking that open door. The girl and Professor must have been released later, but just see. . . The Professor I am sure must have lost his job and reputition and no one would have married that girl again. This is Hudood Ordinance, just report that this and this are doing ZINA, they will be caught without any proof then later trialled and if they are innocents which is the case most of times, the one who accuses them always gets away. The court never charges them with anything. If a girl & guy marries on their liking, against will of their parents, the parents just go to Police and report it as kidnapping and ZINA case, the girl and guy are husband & wife for heaven’s sake. They are legal husband & wife but no. . .
You didn’t tell us what kind of girl you’d like to have as your wife?
*blush*
Do I have to tell that HERE Mohsin? :p
